bonda soup recipe
FOR BONDA:
- 1 cup urad dal
- 1 chilli, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
- few curry leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- ½ tsp pepper, crushed
- 2 tbsp dry coconut, chopped
- ¾ tsp salt
- oil for frying
FOR DAL SOUP:
- ¾ cup moong dal
- 1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
- 3 chilli, slit
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 2½ cup water
- 3 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp cumin / jeera
- pinch hing / asafoetida
- few curry leaves
- 3 cup water
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp coconut, grated
- 2 tbsp coriander, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
FOR SERVING (1 PLATE):
- 2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- firstly, in a small bowl place 1 bonda. to prepare bonda
- top with ladleful of moong dal soup. however make sure to keep it soupy consistency.
- top with 2 tbsp chopped onions and 1 tbsp coriander.
- finally, enjoy bonda soup recipe with hot chai
